Job Description
Organizational Overview:
This new teaching centre is based in a prestigious, modern premises which was occupied by another school prior to the revolution. The corporate sector is also looking upon English as a way to enhance the skills andknowledge of the business workforce. We also pursue ELT work with ministries and promote grant-funded ELT activity, which means our offer of ELT expertise extends far outside the teaching centre, including to other parts of the country.
Some classes run in the morning / early afternoon, and the majority of teaching is later in the day. Peak times are from 16.00 – 21.00.
Teachers will get academic assistance and will report directly to a full time resident Director of studies.
The starting salary package is negotiable (including full accommodation for full time teachers). English Language Teachers / instructors will be employed and paid by Tripolis Knowledge House - Vancouver English Centre, in Tripoli - Libya.
Role Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized post secondary
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
• Recognized TEFL or TESL certificate
Skills:
• Strong leadership with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to interface effectively with students, various departments and external contacts
